OuR little Vance got his FIRST tooth. It popped through on February 15th....ALREADY!!!! He is not even 4 months old yet. How sad for me.... my baby is growing up!
Isn't he so cute! Jenny had her baby on January 27th. She didn't find out what she was having so we all were super excited to see when IT came out. It's a boy!! Sorry Madison, she was really hoping for a girl. Benett Dre Goodman weighed 7lbs 11oz and he was 20 inches. The funny thing is that he looks totally opposite of his big brother who has dark hair and really dark eyes with long black eyelashes. Beckham is a pretty bOy! Benett is a little blondie(kinda orange), blue eyed
Mats is getting so biG! She has lost 3 teeth and has 2 more that are loose. She really likes school a lot. She is a great speller(i tell her ... like her mother). She earned a homework pass which she didn't want to use, she WANTED to do her homework. I was impressed. I know what i woukd have done, I tried to convince her to use it , but she had her mind made up. She loves making her Mom and Dad and brothers little handmade notes. We are her teachers in church and I am so proud of her that she will say the prayer and answer questions correctly... wOw!
Our little Blane .... isn't sHE so cute!! Sorry Blane, we couldn't resist! Blane has been potty traing since right before Christmas. I am really proud of him. He took to it so fast! He rarely has any accidents and wakes up dry most nights. I have been fortunate to have such easy potty trainers. Blane is feisty and when he gets into trouble and we say "timeout" he Quickly says, "Sorry mom, Sorry Mom, Sorry mom". It is so cute! When his Dad says he will take blane to time out Blane's response is "I punch dad in da Pace". I have one of THOSE kids?? I think he tries to be good, but is just lacking self control(at least that's what I tell myself). He is in a toddler bed now too. He is pretty gOOd at staying in his bed now, most nights. FrEEdom feels too good! he rides his scooter and he is so fast and crazy on it. People are shocked when they see how good he is riding it.
Silly Davs! This child cannot sit still on the couch. He watches TV on top of his head. This would be so uncomfortable. He is really agile and has great balance. He can stand on his head for over a minute and just balance. We need to get him into Gymnastics because i am sure he would be good at it. He likes school and is getting much better with his words! I am so proud of him and how hard he tries to improve. He can write his name too! He has been going through a pouty stage. It kinda makes me mad and kinda makes me laugh. He tries to be all tough, but then starts laughing. He is into video games right now and he learns how to play them fast. 
Vancey is so sweet. Lets see where to start. He is already 3 mOnths old!! My beSt baby by far ...thank goodness! He loves taking a bath. His boDy is so strong; he can stand with assistance(duh). During tummy time(that's what we call it) Vance will hold his head up totally high and try to look at the ceiling...he looks so cute doing this. The other kids love to play and laugh with him. I love to see his cute lil neck as he stretches it. So sad for me..... I put Vance in his crib for the FIRST time since he was born ! He has adjusted so smoothly. Last night he slept for 7 hours straight. I woke up @ 7am and kinda freaked out.... I thought I must have slept through his crying, but then realized that the monitor was on and turned up high...whew. Thankful for our technology! I jump up as soon as I hear him cry during the middle of the night... Mommy misses her babe! He is so smiley! He loves smiling at his dad. What a jOy he is in our lives.Life is so interesting. It never seems to be as cookie cutter like as we wish it were. I married my sweetheart 8 years ago and gained an amazing father in law. He went by many names; Dad, Dan the Man, Danny, babe, Uncle Danny, Papa Dan and Pops. He was my Pops. Today is his birthday and I wish he were here for us to celebrate with him. I feel sad for my kids that they will never really Know who there Papa was, except through our memories of him. He was a samaritan in every meaning. His life really did revolve around serving those around him. He was a simple man with BIG dreams. I wish he could have made ALL those dreams come true before he went hoMe. I never imagined my kids growing up with only one Grandpa, but things don't always happen the way we imagine them to. I am thankful for the way he lived his life. He had 0 enemies. I love him and miss him.
I have a few songs that for one reason or another make me cry when I hear them. This is one of those songs..... listen to it.... it makes me want to cherish life more.
To POPS: I wish you a hAppy Birthday and hope your day was special. Thanks for your son. I loVe you forEVER.
This was such a fun LAST minute trip. We really wanted to have the kids be able to SEE snow and play it in this winter for their first time, but it was hard to make that decision since Vancey is still so little. We always make it a point to never go back on our word with things we tell the kids, so we did'nt tell the kids we were going to the snow until like 1 hour before we left. They were so exCited. We just threw together lots of warm clothes...whatever we had and just said we will make do with what we had.
We drove right outside of Payson. On our way through Payson, we were getting worried because we didn't see any snow on the sides of the streets, but 20 minutes past Payson the snow appeared. Madison went crazy!! She, Davin and Blane were screaming SNOW, SNOW, SNOW! Madison kept wanting us to pull over before we got to our destination. She was so worried that it would disappear if we drove further.What a perfect sunny day to hang in the snow. The kids had a lot of fun. Davin kept walking off by himself to find the perfect area to make snow angels, Blane enjoyed eating the snow and riding the the lil' hills, Madison really liked riding the hills as well, but she didn't like slipping on the trek back up the hill. Vance just screamed when the chill of the wind hit his face. He ended up sleeping through the majority of the time outside snuggled in his Mom, his Dad and his Aunt Nell's arms.
We stopped for some pizza in Payson to end the day. We ended up getting our pizza for free because the people took FOREVER to bring our food. On the drive back home in the car, some how we started telling the kids stories about our memories of our childhood. This was fun to watch their little faces as we told them funny incidents about us. They loved this! Davin liked his Dad's stories better than his Mom's stories. Dason was a crAzy kid what more can I say!
We had a pretty mellow New years Eve that involved a little Mormon Bubbly and some noicemakers and poppers. The kids tried their hardest to stay awake til midnight.
Here's how it went down ........ Davin tuckered out first around 10pm, then their was Madison who wanted so badly to stay awake the whole time ended up crashing on the couch at 11pm and THEN mr. Blane out did the bunch. He almost made it til midnight falling asleep only 10 minutes shy of the hOur.
Of course we still had to wake all the kiddies up to celebrate. We went out front and screamed and yelled and used up all of our poppers. Madison was mad that we woke her up, Davin was just acting sleepy and Blane was running around yelling "poppers, Poppers!!". It was fun.
