Big Grad!!

Davin had THE BEST kindergarten teacher.
She was voted the best teacher at his school
for that same year. He would come home with
the cutest stories of things she did! He also
learned SO many sight words. We were so proud
of him!

The ants go marching in...

Mats had her 2nd Piano recital! She had a big audience for her performance. Grandma & Grandpa, Ricky & Sar in town, Aunt Jenny, & Aunt Nell! Mats played The ants go marching and she played it perfectly. A lot of practice went into this song, but it defintely paid off. I am so proud of my daughters dedication. She ROCKS!

What's up with Vance???

He is getting so big. This post is all about his many accomplishments. He is now 22months old, almost 2 and he can do so much. He is a talker. He can say mama, Dada, Penny, Benny, Papa, Mats, Daaabi (davin), Bwane (blane), Debey (debbie), Hewo (hello when the phone starts ringing), Channo (channel changer), Hi, Hold you, Chair, Bugy( bug),Jesus, stroller, shower, tackle ,so many more. He can put about 3 word together to make a sentence. He always squints his eyes when we tell him to smile for the camera. He loves to run and tackle me when I am on the floor. He can go up and down the stairs with no problem. He is a great sleeper. He like to flush the toilets after everyone. When we tell the other kids to go to the bathroom before we leave to go somewher, Vance pulls up his shirt and stands by Davin and Blane watching them "sword fight" into the toilet. And I must say how I love to clean pee up from evrywhere, but the toilet (that's just the way it seems to me)! Vance is such a joy! He just learned how to jump and he can actually get both feet off of the ground. When he does though, he usually falls over.

Vacation Hot and Not list:

• Stayed for free in Newport with Jenny and Cody Fam = HOT
• Weather was soooo cold and cloudy (no tan & no mama Ocean) = NOT
• Davin fell outta tree while Mom was in the shower (Dad on duty) = NOT
• Lots of relaxing = HOT
• Shopping street vendors in Huntington = HOT
• Cousin's hangin' with cousin's = HOT
• BBQing in the cool outdoors = HOT
• Hotel through Priceline at the Hyatt in Newport w/ lot's of pools = HOT
• Watching "Percy Jackson Lightning Thief as a fam in bed @ hotel = HOT
• Digging a huge pool at the beach (so therapeutic) = HOT
• Loading up for HOME ( I love home) = HOT

Davin's Tree.... he was up super high and started to fall and had the thought to lean toward the tree and he landed on the Picket Fence. He recognized that Heavenly Father was watching out for him. I am so thankful!

MoRe catch up...ByE bYe PriMary...HeLLo Y oung Women's!!

Our Ward was split a few months back because it was too big... kinda sad. That meant that people were going to be released from old callings (Primary) and put into the same or new ones. Well I was asked to serve in the Young Women's program.I had no clue and have to say that I was a little intimidated by this new calling. I was asked to be the 1st Counselor which is over the girls who are 14 and 15 years old. YiKes! It hs been Wonderful! I love the girls so much and I am able to be my goofy self around them. I lay awake at night worried about their futures and praying that they will be okay and continue to make good choices. I even was able to go to girls camp this year. The last 2 nights were awesome! The girls all bore their testimonies and the spirit was so strong. We all definately formed a tighter bond.

St. Thomas Caribbean 04.2010 Ricky & Sara Wed

What a beautiful wedding. I am so happy for my Bro and Sara. This happened to be a last minute decision to come here. I really wish my whole family (Allen Peeps) could have taken in the beauty of the Islands. Anywho, I sure did enjoy my vacation with my Sis' and Bro, Mom and Pops, Uncle's and Aunt's and Sara's fam and friends. We had a spa day and I got a sugar scrub...wonderful! It was ladies day to be pampered at a spa. We went to Iggies and goofed it up all night. I sure love acting like a little kid it is so fun. I look it so I might as well act itsometime -A-? Sara looked beauTiful in her wedding gown that she designed and the color was so amazing too! My parents were so generous the whole time paying for things for me and my sisters it was so nice of them. I still can't believe that I left 4 kiddies at home "Momless" for 4 days. We all survived and I sure did miss Daddy and babes!
