SuMMerR Vacation 09'

This was so fun! The kids and I started to build little pools in the sand. Then The Lucente's started to build one too. We kept compeating to see whose would get the biggest...Allen's VS Lucente's. Then we came together in forces and built a huge wall and pool. The kids LoVed this.

We decided to try a new area of California to stay. We have stayed at Mission Beach, La Jolla, Newport and Now it was time to try out the cute Beachy town of Encinitas. We had such an amazing place to stay. Right above the Bluff with the back patio over looking the ocean. It had an spectacular view. Not to mention the inside, which fit all the Derf's and One Lucente Family. This house was a 7 bedroom and 5 bathroom totally decked out house. What a deal!

We had such a fun time. We never really wanted to leave our house, so we did lots of grilling and cooking in. We had fun staying up late playing the Wii. We went to Knott's Berry Farm again. It is such a fun, inexpensive place for the Whole Family. All of our kids liked going on the rides. No fears yet, so hopefully that stay the same. We also went to the Aquariam again this year too. We all had a good time at the beach. Davin was TOO adventurous, he kept on going out really far in the ocean. He rode the waves in on his boogie board. The first thing he would do when we got to the beach was run for the water. Madison also played in the water and the sand. Blane wasn't to fond of the water. He would go in with Us, but that was it. He loved the sand. Vance actually really liked the Water too. He splashed a little on the shoreline.

Blane and Tate were trouble makers! They kept on getting into things they weren't supposed to. The two of them together = trouble!

8 months and counting....

Before I forget, I need to jot down all the things that our sweet little man is up to these days.

PooR guy has 7 TEETH popped through ..... aLreadY!!

He has been sitting on his own since he was almost 6 months old.

He is sOOOOOOO serious aLL the time. He doesn't give away smiles or laughs very easily. He makes us work for them.

He is a skinny MinnY!! He does nOT like to eat baby food. The 1st of any of my kids to be picky.

He sort of "SCOOTS" when is is on his tummy... backwards! That is, when he is not crying. He gets mad when we put him on his belly.

He LoVes his bath and nearly leaps out of my arms to get into the bath. He likes splashing and playing in the bath.

He loves his Mommy (and she loves him). He always reaches for me. When I put him to bed at night and for naptime, he reaches for my face and pulls me close to his face. I love this time with him!

He is such a chill baby. He goes with the flow. He sleeps pretty good through the night( he still wakes up 1-3 times). He loves to be held. He makes a cute high pitched squel, otherwise he is not very vocal. We think he can wave at us. He likes to hold his hand when we hold him, it is so cute.

Summer is off to a FAST & Busy start

We have been really busy these past few weeks.



*First, we had Jenny(My Sis) and her boys stay a couple of days while her husband was out of town. Jenny had actually thrown out her back so she needed help with her kids. It was fun and we sure kept busy chasing after lots of little ones.


*Second, Swim lessons began for all three kids with Ms. Traci. She is so aWesome! Madison & Davin were in the same class and they were doing things like treading water for 1 minute, Back stroke, butterfly stroke, practice using big arms(freestyle), practicing breathing to the side and diving to the deep end. They did so good! Tate was in the same class as Blane. They were learning, kicking, big arms, back floating, going down to the deep end with Ms. Traci. Ms. Tatum(Traci's daughter) helped this year. She shows off for the kids by doing her triple flip dives. We love them. She is SUCH a great teacher.






Third, The Ross girls came to visit from Colorado and stayed with us for 4 nights. I love those girls. We made flower hair clips one night...just the girls. Each girl made like 6 of their own. We did lots of swimming @ The Lund's One night for a Barbeque @ their aWesome pool. Then we went to the Basha Pool to play for a couple of hours. One night we put up the tent out back and had HOBO dinners (foil dinners) and turned on the fire pit( in 95 degree weather) and roasted marshmellows and made s'mores. The girls slept the night in the tent and stayed up late playing cards and having fun. Madison and Jill are the of best friends. They play so good together. Jane was such a helper while she was here. She loved holding and playing with Vance too. We enJoyed having them in our home. They are such good girls. We will miss them.






Fourth, Madison got her ears pierced. She finally decided while we were at the mall to take the plunge! She was so brave and only cried for a second. She loves having earrings.






Fifth, Our rambuncious boy Blane turned three! We had one Family party @ Grandma Sharon's & another family party @ our house for Blane. He is so funny! All he REALLY cared about @ both parties was the soda. When people would ask him what he wanted for his birthday he would say this...."Red Kid soda" We love him.







Sixth, on the list ....... We were asked to speak in church on Sun. June 14th(today). Our topic was about "coming unto Christ". This was such a great theme to talk about and I sure learned a lot while preparing my talk. Funny, weird thing that happened while I was 5 minutes into my talk.... the fire alarm went off and the WHOLE church had to be evacuated. I was actually tearing up on the stand as I was reading aloud the first verse to one of my favorite church songs. "I stand all amazed at the love Jesus offers me, confused at the grace that so fully he profers me. I tremble to know that for me he was crucified, that for me a sinner, he suffered, he bled and died." Know one knew what to do next. The fire dept came to make sure everything was okay and to shut off the alarm. Turns out that sacrament meeting was almost over and I had to get back up there and finish as quickly as possible. Dason spoke after me and gave an heart felt talk about his own journey to change. This was pretty funny.




Finally....we will be getting ready for our week long vacation to Encinitas @ the end of the week. We can't wait!

HaPPy 3rd biRthdaY Blaney!!

I can't believe you are Already three! You have been such a joy to have in our family. I couldn't imagine it without you. You came out screaming and have NOT stopped. You are a little firecracker! I Love your personality. You are my first for a lot of things. I can not believe how FuN you are. These are some of the things i LoVe about you:

* Your scratchy deep voice... i love to hear you talk...it's so cute

* Your explanation for everything ("ya know why Mom....")

* Your tight hugs...sometimes they knock me over... we have to ask for SOFT hugs.

* Your determination (You learned how to pedal a bike within 1 hour of trying. You would not give up. You were so tired, dripping sweat, getting mad, but you would not give up)

* Your mischievenous (like when you sneak soda or try to swindle "just one more??" candy or cookie or when you pee in the backyard in front of the neighbor kids.

* Your brotherly love... you always try to fight kids @ the play areas. Davin will tell you to get someone and you go after them and try to punch or kick them.

* Your LoVe for FuN! You like to push the limits on things and it scares me. Your Dad really likes this about you. You are so friendly and such a people person.

I want you to know, my sweet Blane how much I love you. I love looking at your beautiful face and sometimes can not stop kissing it. I wish you were more of a Mama's boy. It makes me so happy when we can cuddle together. I am proud of you for so many new accomplishments this year. You are almost completely potty trained, except for a few bedtime accidents. AmaZing boy! You can pedal a bike, ride a scooter(too fast), ride a skate board, dribble a basketball, say your ABC's (not all in order, it's so cute), sing lots of songs, count to 10, swim(pretty good for a newly 3 year old) and more Im sure. We Love you Wayne!

Last day...

My Little Grad.....

They had a little performance for the parents! It was so cUte.

Ms. Jennie was the BeSt Teacher EvEr!! She was so good with all the kids. She also was so thoughtful and gave us tons of really good clothes for Blane when her son out grew them. We will definately miss her.

Davin LoVed Ms. Sabrina! we think he kind of had a crush on her.

Ms. kelly was Davins speech teacher. We will miss her.

Madison's last day of school....so sad.

We were really blessed this year with amazing, caring teachers. Madison LoVed Ms. Annesi so much. She talks about her all the time. We will miss her, but will see next year. So thankful for the good school year.

oH my, wheRe to beGin......

Last week my Mom and sisters and daughter went to STOMP. My Mom is so aWesome! She came up with the idea for our girls night. She bought all the tickets too. We LoVe you Mom! We ate at Z Tejas on Mill first and shared a bunch of really GooD food. Then we were off and running...literally. We were running late for showtime and parking was full, so we did some running. We totally made it to our seats with like 30 seconds to spare. The show was the BesT!!! It was so funny and amazing at how they made music out of every day things. It was serIously the CooLest show I've seen. i am so thankful for my FuN, Hip Mom and mY sis'. i am really glad to have just 1 daughter to share the fun with.

ThaTcher.... Az.....CinCo De MayO.....pAradE..... brEEzy.....FuN.....hoTel....pOol....sMiles

Cinco De Mayo parade up in Thatcher, AZ. We went on a mini weekend getaway to Thatcher. Dason had a business deal he was needing to sign with one of the hotels there. We stayed there for SuPer cheap and it was ReallY nice. They gave us one of the Suittes to stay in... home away from home. The kids were really excited because they have never stayed in a hotel before. We always take a summer trip to Cali and rent a beach house, so this was different for them. This hotel even had an indoor pool and spa which they loved. We had take out from a steak house at night and then went swimming, it was a fun getaway. Before we headed for home we stayed for the parade.

Davin and Dad riding at the bike track for Chas' birthday party. He did so good for his first time. It only took him a couple of times around the track to get the hang of it. I was a proud MaMa! He LoVed riding his bike up and down the hills.
